Paul de Chauvigny de Blot is professor of Business Spirituality at CHROME, Nyenrode Business Universiteit. He was appointed honorary professor on July 1st 2010. The title of honorary professor is granted for life to emeritus professors of Nyenrode who have greatly distinguished themselves in the social and/or academic field. Paul de Blot (1924) is the first professor to be granted an appointment of this kind at Nyenrode. As an honorary lecturer, he will give guest lectures and readings on a regular basis.
Paul has been associated with Nyenrode since 1979, when in the role of campus moderator, he took care of student counseling. He became a Professor of Organizational Renewal in 2006, with a chair in Business Spirituality. He taught International Marketing at Breda HEAO for eight years and as well as training courses at FENEDEX (the Dutch Export Federation). He was made a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau in 2009.
Paul studied physics, philosophy, politics and Indonesian state philosophy in Indonesia, physics in Germany and cultural philosophy, spirituality and psychology, and theology in The Netherlands. He took his doctor's degree at the Business University Nyenrode with his dissertation: 'Renewal of organisations in a chaotic environment by renewing people'.
