Lidewey van der Sluis in Big HR Dictation Competition
Language is the most important instrument for personal and professional communication. Inadequate command of language can lead to misunderstandings, inefficiency, unnecessary costs and damage to the reputation of organizations. HR managers and recruiters frequently complain about the applicants' use of language and poorly written letters of application. To see how things stand with the language use of the HR professionals and recruiters themselves, ACA Communicatie organized the 'Big HR Dictation 2011'. Prof. Lidewey van der Sluis, professor of Strategic Talent Management at Nyenrode, delivered an introductory speech before the dictation. The next day, she spoke in Willebroek, Belgium, at a congress staged by vacature.be and reference.be, the Flemish and French-language equivalents of the Dutch intermediair.nl.
