Death of Gerard Keijzers, Professor of Sustainable Enterprise
On 10 May, Prof. Dr. Gerard Keijzers (b. 1951), Professor of Sustainability, passed away rather suddenly, although he had been seriously ill for some time. Originally an economist, Keijzers established Nyenrode's Center for Sustainability in 2000 and developed it into a renowned knowledge institute. The Center aims to support business in integrating sustainability into daily working practice. With his special attention to combining business opportunities with sustainability, Keijzers (and hence also Nyenrode) was far ahead of his time.

Second edition "Understanding Cross-Cultural Management"
Recently, a second, improved edition of the book "Understanding Cross-Cultural Management" by Marie-Joëlle Browaeys and Roger Price has been published. Managing effectively across national and cultural boundaries is critical to the success of today's organizations, especially given the global environment of business and the increasing diversity of workforces. A keen awareness and a high degree of cross-cultural competence in management are therefore key to the career success of both present and aspiring managers/professionals. The book enables the reader to sharpen his or her insights and practical skills. It offers a selective but broad view of classic and contemporary thinking on cultural management, and encourages the reader to apply theories and ideas to practice and to relate them to their own experience.
