Our MBA in Business & IT is a modular program for IT managers and business leaders alike who strive for excellence in leveraging IT for business. This MBA program is designed for professionals having busy lives who want to take up a MBA study without neglecting the importance of their private and professional lives.
The Aim of the Program
The aim of the program is the development of a new generation of CIOs, who have to be prepared for the complex business questions of the future. To achieve this, we have created a demand-driven program in which the European professional CIO bodies have a strong say. The focus of this general MBA program is on integrating business and IT with a view to closing the gap between the two. The learning content is that of a full MBA, and many of the examples, cases, and discussions used are placed in the context of Business-IT integration. This allows high potential participants with a technical background to acquire a much broader view of top level business issues, enabling them to function at C-level. It also allows high potential participants with a business background to better understand the opportunities and problems of the corporate utilization of IT, both in products and in processes.

From the start, this program has a European scope. Although it was launched in October 2010 in The Netherlands, it will branch out to other European business schools and universities under the supervision of EuroCIO. As of January 2013, the German TU Munich (TUM) and the Swiss University of Institute of Information Management, University of St. Gallen (USG) will join the project, thus offering identical programmes (exchangeable modules) in the Dutch and German language regions of Europe. All modules are in English.
