Coaching Program

Of course you need time to study, but you also need time to look beyond the program to explore how your new knowledge and skills can enhance your career plans and to reflect on your experience in the MBA. We know you can’t always do this alone, and so each MBA student has two coaches that will help them throughout the course of the program in very different ways. These coaches are there to help you get the most out of your program, while offering you an unique opportunity to build relationships with faculty, alumni and business contacts. Your two  coaches include an Academic Coach and a Personal Career Coach.

Academic Coach
Your Academic Coach will guide your progress in the academic components of the program. As a member of our faculty, your coach provides insight and guidance as you apply the fundamentals of business theory to real-life business situations. Each faculty coach will be responsible for coaching a group of International MBA Students. This coach is separate from the faculty supervisor that you will have as part of your Program Wrap-up.

Mentor/Personal Coach
Your Mentor/Personal Coach helps you explore how you can integrate elements of personal development into your life and can provide you with insight into the program as you complete your MBA. Your Personal Career Coach is an MBA alumnus/a or one of Nyenrode's close business contacts. They understand what you are going through and can help you frame what you are looking for next. In this one-to-one relationship, each coach will work with to help you get the most out of your program.

In their words
“The personal coaching program is the most compelling offer of the Nyenrode MBA. Coaching has offered me the personal connection with an alumna who was meticulously selected to fit my profile. This experience has created a second home for me to live, study and appreciate the Netherlands far beyond my expectations. Nine months down the line, I feel at home in the Netherlands and connected to an alumna who is reachable within minutes for advice on personal and professional issues affecting my studies.”
